This post is long overdue. I should have photographed my process, but by the time I thought of it, it was too late. (approx. 5″x7″ watecolor on watercolor moleskine) Mixed with this painting, comes a lesson. Something about transience, and our inability to keep things the same. I’m still learning and processing it. I will let you know as soon as [...] Have you heard about bird-watchers? I think they go on special trips, just to spot birds. They carry around a birding book, in order to identify the birds they come across. They can tell what kind of bird is around, just by their call. It’s amazing, and yet, I can’t say I’ve ever had the [...] It was so great to see friends this weekend. We joined Graffiti folks at Tuscarora for a first ever, 2-day retreat weekend at Tuscarora. An old favorite retreat center we used to go to many years ago. It was also bittersweet, as we had to say goodbye. The boys just have energy galore. They have no school. So I have them all day, and I’m trying to come up with a variety of activities. We’ve gone out everyday. Trips ranging from [...] A week ago yesterday, the boys and I, along with my parents, returned from a 5-day journey to Canada. A good time was had by all, though we missed Fabio a lot. It’s become tradition that every 2 years, we get together with the Canadian Williks(my mom’s side of the family), in order for the cousins [...] I just got the best gift from Fabio. He gave me a macro lens for my camera. I’d been wanting one, and I was trying to see if the rest of the family would pitch in and give me some cash toward it so I could buy one, but he went one over, and got me [...] They are giving away a cool photo printer at this site for mom bloggers. |
