Yesterday we had the earliest snow I can remember in my lifetime here in the US. October 28, 2008. Does this seem too early for anyone else? I know, if you’re in Minnesota, North Dakota, or in Canada, you think I’m just whining. And maybe I am, but in this part of the country, or more specifically, [...] It was so great to see friends this weekend. We joined Graffiti folks at Tuscarora for a first ever, 2-day retreat weekend at Tuscarora. An old favorite retreat center we used to go to many years ago. It was also bittersweet, as we had to say goodbye. One of the highlights of the weekend was when I [...] I have one with the internet. It’s great! It keeps me in touch with people I know from all over the globe. I can chat with a girl from Indonesia if I want to, and I can write an email to my husband, even when he’s next to me. I can find out all kinds of information, [...] So, if you’ve talked to me in the last several weeks, you know that the hard part of this move for me is the social aspect. Fabio’s got his new job to meet people, although most of them probably don’t live close to us. Willik and Phoenix have school now, where soon enough they’ll have lots [...] A few years ago, a friend’s birthday party was a costume party, and Fabio and I dressed up as Bonnie and Clyde. It was a lot of fun, and I think our costumes really worked. There are also some other famous couples , such as Romeo and Juliet, Lucy and Ricky Ricardo, Fred Astaire [...] Yes, I think we all have those. The thing is, because I’m a pretty happy person, I usually don’t spend too much time thinking of those negative things. But if I take the time to slow down and look closer, those are all around. One of the love-hate relationships I have is doing design. I [...] Wow! What a morning! A super good one! I woke up hearing [...] unfortunately, there are some big things that need to be done. Things like septic replacement and/or repair, and water/moisture damage that needs to be repaired. This is where things start to get tricky. Where I start to wonder whether this house is the one. Mother’s Day is a wonderful day, and I’m glad Anna Jarvis wanted to honor her mom. That’s what kids should do. Honoring and respecting everyone is not just a nice thing, it is what makes or breaks any relationship. So, mother’s day with young kids can feel at times, like more of a battle [...] By now, most people that see us on a regular basis know that Fabio got the job in Trenton. I was waiting for him to write about it, so that I would then write about it as my own take. |
