Yesterday I had a great country adventure. After seeing a sign last week that said “Fresh Brown Eggs — Drive In” , I made a mental note to return as soon as I could. Yesterday was that day. After both boys were in school, we drove about a mile down this quiet road, passing nice spacious properties, [...] okay, so this weekend, I was asked to reveal the picture I posted a little over a week ago. GLAU′CIA or GLAUKIA I came across some of these descriptions the other day. Most of which I knew because I had a teacher in High School who was intent on finding the meaning of my name. He had a huge dictionary in his classroom, which ended up being the source for some of the [...] I’m in a sketchbook exchange; specifically, the Moleskine X Portrait Party 3. What that means is, that I got myself a moleskine sketchbook(this is what I use for sketchbooks most of the time) and I drew a sign in page… Then I drew a self-portrait… Now, it’s been sent on to a guy in Newark; This guy, Danny, [...] I’ve been reading a tiny book with that title, by Danny Price. I’d been wanting it for some time, and I finally got it last week. There’s not much to read. It’s lots of sketchy drawings which the artist drew over the course of years, I’m guessing, and put them in the book, along with tips [...] On thanksgiving day, I put more fod out for the birds. We have 2 suet feeders on our huge maple, and they were empty, so I decided the birds needed a treat on thanksgiving as well. Within 10 minutes of the food being out there, I spotted over 10 different species of birds. I am still in [...] The month of November is over, and I thought I’d discuss my thoughts over the evnts of this month… At the beginning of this month I’d decided to have a bit of an internet fast, and embark on an art project. The internet “fast” consisted of me staying away from facebook,( I was spending way too much [...] |
