Every Year, Taylor honors and thanks the Graffiti Church staff, by taking everyone out to eat a nice lunch. He also gives every one some “fun” money, which they can use to do whatever. The rule of the day is: “no stressful thoughts”. Just enjoy the day and each other, and don’t think about work. Even though [...] Yesterday, Fabio had the writer’s guild meeting. Although I’m thrilled he has this space to share with other fellow writers, it is always a challenge figuring out what to do with the boys for 1.5 to 2 hours. Driving is not an option, because finding parking elsewhere is unlikely, and I can’t sit in the [...] My birthday was full of surprises, just the way I like it! Fabio took the day off work, so we could spend it together. After we dropped off Phoenix at school, Fabio took me to a place we’ve never been to before, called Tom’s Restaurant. It’s been there since 1936. It’s in Brooklyn, but it felt [...] yeah! Who knew one could be stuck in quuens. Most of you know that New York City has been losing it’s luster for me for some time. about where Willik will attend Kindergarten. The last couple weeks have provided me a chance to serve my church and it’s sister ministries in capacities which I love. Graffiti 2, a new ministry in Motthaven in the South Bronx, had an Easter Egg HUnt on the saturday before Easter. There were 5000 eggs sprawled across 3 different fields. This is [...] Look closely! That was what it looked like the other day, with about 4 hours in between. You see, I was feeling kinda blah that day. Actually, I feel pretty blah every day that Fabio is gone, but that day was even more blah. Living in the city is not all it’s cracked to be. I’ve felt that way for some time now. But the last few days, have confirmed that in my head even more. |
