When you make a friend, it’s amazing what it does to make you feel at home. That’s my experience here. These last few months have been somewhat difficult, because makign friends has been difficult. Oh, believe me, I’ve tried. But the culture of life here means people are in their cars more. Even dropping Phoenix to school, [...] I’m in a sketchbook exchange; specifically, the Moleskine X Portrait Party 3. What that means is, that I got myself a moleskine sketchbook(this is what I use for sketchbooks most of the time) and I drew a sign in page… Then I drew a self-portrait… Now, it’s been sent on to a guy in Newark; This guy, Danny, [...] I’ve been reading a tiny book with that title, by Danny Price. I’d been wanting it for some time, and I finally got it last week. There’s not much to read. It’s lots of sketchy drawings which the artist drew over the course of years, I’m guessing, and put them in the book, along with tips [...] On thanksgiving day, I put more fod out for the birds. We have 2 suet feeders on our huge maple, and they were empty, so I decided the birds needed a treat on thanksgiving as well. Within 10 minutes of the food being out there, I spotted over 10 different species of birds. I am still in [...] The month of November is over, and I thought I’d discuss my thoughts over the evnts of this month… At the beginning of this month I’d decided to have a bit of an internet fast, and embark on an art project.
