It was so great to see friends this weekend. We joined Graffiti folks at Tuscarora for a first ever, 2-day retreat weekend at Tuscarora. An old favorite retreat center we used to go to many years ago.
It was also bittersweet, as we had to say goodbye.
One of the highlights of the weekend was when I entered into the lodge we were staying in, right after the Graffiti gang had arrived, and I was greeted by Edna, running thru the hall shouting my name and giving me a big hug. It’s been a long time since I’ve had that kinda welcome. It was so nice to be around people that know and love me. I was reminded of how no one knows us well here in Dublin. That part of me, the extrovert, really suffers from that knowledge.
Anyway, another cool thing was that we were assigned a group project, about how we appreciate God. We were supposed to use our creativity to express this. Our group read Psalm 23:1-3. Then Del shared a monologue about how even before he had a personal relationship with Jesus, he knew God must be real because of how beautiful nature was. After he spoke, I showed a slide show of photos I took at the retreat center, throughout the day, Saturday, of beautiful nature all around us.
Everyone really liked the slide show. I’m glad it was a blessing.
Kareem mentioned it being used more. And I’m always looking for ways to make my artistic endeavors yield some funds. So I need you help.
I was thinking of having some blank cards made with some of my pictures. If you had a choice, what are some of the photos you’d have/pay for on a card? This will help me to know which pictures might be best on a blank card.
Please vote below. There are nature pictures and a couple city pictures as well.
Or if you have another idea of how you might like to have one of these pictures(or another one from my photoblog) printed, let me know, and we can talk about a deal.
Thanks…
Great to see you are still at it.
Thanks, Owen. I’m glad I’m still at it as well. Hoping to add some farm photos soon, from our new surroundings.
hey, I tried voting, but I’m not sure it went through. I like numbers 1, 4 and 10, with 10 being my favorite. Good work!
Hey Michelle
Could you vote again? You have to pick just one.
Thanks!
